I don’t know which one is more scary: that I’m now singing hymns with the grannies in the choir of the Kallio church / or that it is actually fun / I’ve been learnig a lot about using my voice (got to remember: Sophia Loren cheeks, rabbit teeth, happy eyes…)/ I thought you just have to open your mouth / The choir lady is giving useful advice: “Open your throats”, “Pull that voice”, “And now some opera”

Wrestling with Children

Usually I always have to wrestle with humongous muscle monsters but today I got to learn how it feels like to be a humongous muscle monster (Can I stroke a 20 kg child?). Wrestling = The Sport of Empathy.

Everybody loves comics // THE OLD PEOPLE: What’s going on here? / Ehhh… The Comics Festival is starting at 2 pm / Pena it’s the comics stuff, I really like that comic stuff like Beetle Bailey //THE HOBOS: God damn look at this Ulle! The Japanese had the Okinawa Beach loaded with these things / Hey guys we’re opening for real at  2pm // THE COLLECTORS: I’m taking three copies of the festival catalogue – one to use, one spare copy and one for my archives… And hey, can you put me a couple of those posters & flyers? // THE TEENAGERS: Fucking lovebirds / The sexhibition is over already guys!! // THE RURAL COMIC ARTISTS: Man your zine is fantastic, but it’s either this or a ticket to the festival club… glup. // MUM: I didn’t know that Moomins were comics too
